Amy, Take the MCAT when you feel ready. Then take a year or two off before med school and travel the world like I did. I did college in three years. There's no rush. Do semesters abroad. Do well in your classes, and take time off when you can. Things will go fast. It'll be very good for your career. Then go into Emergency Medicine, because there is no better way to help people and live a great and fun life. Good luck, Amy. Study hard. Noah T. Kaufman, MD Emergency Medicine
